Oklahoma Sooners football is the pride of Norman, Oklahoma. The Sooners have played football in Norman longer that the Oklahoma has been a state, amassing an all-time record of more than 850 wins and seven national championships in the school’s glorious 120 year history. The Sooners also boast 44 conference championships in football, making it one of the most feared and revered programs in all of college sports. Nine former Sooners have one a total of 10 Heisman trophy awards, including two-time winner Billy Sims in 1978 and 1979.
