Any true Arkansas Razorback can stand up with pride and recall the “40 minutes of he(ck)” that coach Nolan Richardson and Arkansas basketball brought to the nation during their vaulted NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament runs of the early 1990s. The attention brought to Arkansas athletics and particularly the basketball program culminated in a national title banner in 1994 for Coach Richardson and his "Hogs." As a school, Arkansas has collected a total of 43 national championships throughout its years competing on the national collegiate level. This includes a 1964 national championship in football for the Razorbacks as well as their participation in what has been dubbed the game of the century for the college football, a 15-14 heartbreaking loss to Texas.
